I have been wondering what the graffiti artist had been trying to depict with this piece of art. When I was looking at some of the fossils I have collected in the past I finally found what it was: Leptolepis sprattiformis!
It is a small fish common in Upper Jurassic platy limestones of Solnhofen (Bavaria, Germany).
Notice how well the artist has abstracted this fossil? I would love to meet this paint-spraying paleontologist!
