I finally took the time last holiday to read Susan Sontag's "On Photography". The book is a collection of essays dealing with the place of photography in art and society. It is particularly interesting to read the views of many important photographers throughout history on their work and their philosophy.
Yes, it is a book that requires effort, but it is absolutely worth it. Not only is it interesting, but it gave me a lot of actual inspiration and new ideas. Who says philosophy is not practical?
