ICE

I rarely get to photograph the ICE (Intercity Express). It passes at Amsterdam Amstel Station around 8:15, whilst I leave at 8:06 at the latest. But due to a problem at Bijlmer Station my train had a major delay. I am glad that happened.....

A touch of color in the morning

The graffiti boys and girls have been busy lately; two consecutive trains had sprayed carriages. A nice break from the regular silver and blue......

Perseverance

I often wonder if I shouldn't stop making the pictures on the station. Weeks can go by without a 'keeper'. In particular with the poor light at the moment.

And then all of a sudden an image like this one from last Monday appears on my screen. Well, I had already noticed at the time that this was an opportunity, but it's hard to predict if it actually works out.

Happy with this one, it will keep me going again for a couple of weeks at least.......

I am working on a makeover of my portfolio-website, Unfortunately most links to the pictures I posted are lost. I'll fix that soon. Meanwhile have a look at the new layout. Very happy with it.

Morning glory

The days are getting shorter, so early morning photography inside Amsterdam Amstel Station is getting more difficult. But outside there are glorious sun rises.

Bird Art Installation day

'Bird Art Installation Day' is a fun initiative to bring all those works of art inspired by birds into the open. On the 7th of October a group of artist got together in the Martin Luther Kingpark. Amongst them Rosa Verloop (website, Monique Klaver (website), Katja Thiele (website and Hannah Oud-Biemold (website.

Seeing all the 'birds' in their habitat was great and a nice subject to photograph. And as a bonus, I was able to make some portraits of the beforementioned.

Being a guest at a wedding, I tried not to hinder the professional photographer doing her job. Despite seeing some nice opportunities here and there for a nice shot. But I just couldn't resist this little statue of the happy couple.
